Pre -Departure  Information

 

dEPARTURE pLACE – mEETING tIME

You need to be at Abell Point Marina North End at 8.30am sharp the day of departure. Once in Abell Point Marina you will see a roundabout at the north end meeting point . You need to be by the umbrellas beside the roundabout and wait to a crew member yells out for Freight Train

Freight Train has no set Itinerary as we are dependent on weather and tidal conditions. Your crew will brief everyone where they plan to go and all information relative to Freight Trains tour on the morning of departure.

What to Bring – What nOT TO bRING

NO LARGE BACKPACKS OR SUITCASES ARE ALLOWED ONBOARD.

ONLY THE SAME SIZE THAT IS USED AS CARRY ON LUGGAGE FOR AN AIRLINE IS ALLOWED.

You will find storage for your large bags at any backpackers hostel in town, they all do bag storage even if you are not staying there. 

WHAT TO BRING:
In a small soft bag (enviro safe), we suggest that you bring the following –
Light Clothing / Warm clothing in cooler months (May – September)
Swimsuit
Hat
Sunscreen (30+ highly recommended)
Bath Towel and Beach Towel
Sunglasses
Insect Repellent
Favourite Music
Alcohol (no glass please)NO MORE THAN 24 cans of beer OR 4ltrs cask wine OR 1 ltr spirits
Waterproof Camera/Film
All meals are included. However, If you think the fresh air might make you extra hungry, you may want to bring crisps, chocolates etc as well as any other drink such as Bottled Water, Orange Juice or Coke etc..

What Not To Bring

Glass Bottles or Red Wine, Sleepbags or pillows, Pasports or travel documents
Shampoo or Conditioner (enviromental purposes)
Plastic Bags ( they kill our wildlife and smother our coral) Goon is not a platic bag
